I'm down to my last (hellish) couple of weeks of school before term break. This term has been a tiring one but for the first time I seem to be experiencing what it really feels like to be a real graduate student. It's draining and it deprives you of much-needed sleep, but you get to know people much like you beyond the name, and it's a lot of fun. I honestly still have no idea if I have the determination to see this through the end, but this term I can finally say that I'm actually getting something out of this besides being able to tell people that I'm taking an MBA.

Yikes, trimesters fly by so much faster than do semesters. It's online enlistment again, and thankfully there still are subjects with decent schedules that I can take. I'm trying to choose among:

Management Accounting (Thursdays; Dr. Rosalinda Evangelista)

Ethics, Family Life and Work Balance (Thursdays; Ma. Nenette Barrios/Myrna Sanchez)

Business Law (Saturday Mornings; Atty. Virgilio De Los Reyes)

Marketing Management (Saturday Mornings; Ernesto Perlas)*
My schedule this weekend is giving me a headache. Last night we had dinner at Cyma Trinoma to celebrate my mom's birthday, today I'll have to drop by my godson's birthday at their house before heading to the Block for Bon's class with my teammates, after which I'll have to pick up a gift for my godson (then I'll drop by their house again), then tomorrow I have to go to mass and pick up a few basic necessities before meeting friends at the Fort then heading for a group meeting for accounting class in the evening, before which I ought to have analyzed our case. I actually feel like I'm wasting precious time as I type this.

It was the first time I took such a long vacation, and it gave me chance to get acquainted with "the world out there."

What's your favourite drink?
My favorite alcoholic drink would undoubtedly be piña colada, but I have quite a few non-alcoholic faves -- mango shake, plain old iced water, fresh orange juice, chai tea latte, melon soy milk, coconut water, and four seasons, to name a few :)

I don't really feel like giving a blow-by-blow account but basically I:

hoarded a lot of clothes and bags -- really good buys, too!

absolutely pigged out (something I hope to remedy within the week -- turning on hyper girl mode! -- although if you feel like experimenting with Thai food you must try the Pad Thai :))

got started with my Christmas list (after all, the local stations have already begun playing the songs).
Also, meme from crashandburn :)

Comment, and I will comment back with a picture of the fictional character that most reminds me of you.
Rich's Party, School, News, Thailand

Pictures from my dear friend Rich's party for passing the medical boards can be found here and here. We had a really great time at his party, which was held last Saturday at Quezon City Sports Club. Congratulations again, Richard! :)

I haven't really felt like writing in my Livejournal lately; for friends who want to keep updated you might want to check my Multiply site instead as it's been busier lately (plus, I syndicate the blog with my LJ). For today I'd just like to post a general update entry:

The bombings or acts of sabotage or accidents or whatever you call the happenings in Makati last week were brutal. It's caused an alarming level of panic and it's spawned quite a few conspiracy theories which have plagued the news for days now.

I aced my first accounting quiz! One of only two in our class. It makes me a lot more optimistic about the subject, especially since, um, I didn't exactly study for that quiz.

Going to Bangkok during the long weekend (that's next week). My dad's been encouraging my sister to start her own mini-business, so she's decided she wants to buy cheap clothes and stuff from Thailand and sell them at Christmas bazaars.
